The Swift 3 is one of the more affordable 14-inch laptops to ship with a high quality IPS panel capable of reproducing the full sRGB standard. Its processor is also comparable to Intel's 11th gen Core i7 series that typically retail for more.
Amazon is currently running a sale on the 14-inch Acer Swift 3 for $110 USD off the original launch price of $750. The deal is notable for its fast AMD Ryzen 7 5700U CPU and full sRGB IPS display which are relatively uncommon on laptops in the $500 price range. If processor performance and accurate sRGB colors are priorities for your next affordable subnotebook, then this deal may be worth looking into.
The main drawback to this deal is its limited 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory. Even worse, the RAM modules are soldered and wholly non-upgradeable meaning owners will be stuck with 8 GB for the life of the product. If you intend to do even minor graphics or video editing or other memory intensive applications, then this deal will likely disappoint. If your workloads consist mostly of web browsing, streaming, and word processing, however, then the limited RAM should be barely sufficient.
Users can check out our review on the Acer Swift 3 to learn more about the chassis and its features. Though our review unit is running on an older Ryzen 4000U series processor and older IPS panel, the physical chassis is otherwise identical.
