Xiaomi wants POCO testers for MIUI 12.5 Global Stable ROM testing; all but the most famous POCO smartphone are eligible to join
Xiaomi has announced another round of testing for the MIUI 12.5 Global Stable ROM. This time, Xiaomi is seeking people who own POCO smartphones, albeit not every POCO smartphone that it is has released. The nine POCO smartphones and their regional variants that are eligible for MIUI 12.5 Global Stable ROM testing are as follows:
- POCO C3 [IN]
- POCO F2 PRO [Global, RU, ID, EEA]
- POCO F3 [MI, RU, ID, EEA]
- POCO M2 [IN]
- POCO M2 PRO [IN]
- POCO M3 [Global, RU, ID, EEA, IN]
- POCO X2 [IN]
- POCO X3 PRO [Global, IN, EEA, RU, ID]
- POCO X3/NFC [Global, RU, IN, EEA, ID]
For some reason, Xiaomi has decided against testing MIUI 12.5 on the Pocophone F1, or POCO F1 as the company sold the device in India. This omission does not necessarily imply that the Pocophone F1 will remain on MIUI 12, even though it has already received three OS upgrades. It is worth noting that Xiaomi struggled to bring the Pocophone F1 onto MIUI 12, so MIUI 12.5 may require more testing before it is stable enough on the device for open beta testing.
If you are interested in joining the MIUI 12.5 Global Stable ROM testing program, then you can apply here. Please note that you must be aged over 18 to join. Additionally, Xiaomi requires a Mi ID and your device's IMEI during the application process. You can find the full details of the testing program on the accompanying POCO community page.
