Android 11-based MIUI 12.1.5 hits the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro and most bugs are now gone
At the end of a long stream of countless attempts that ended up without success, earlier today I finally discovered that a software update was available for my phone. Since it was a package larger than 700 MB, I expected some fixes for the existing bugs. Thankfully, it looks like I was right.
Labeled as MIUI Global 12.1.5 Stable, the update is identified as 12.1.5.0(RJDEUXM) and the Android version at its core is labeled RKQ1.200826.002. Unfortunately, the security patch is not the latest from Google, since it is dated March 1, 2021. The changes mentioned by Xiaomi are the following:
- System optimization: Full screen gestures now ignored on the Lock screen alarm page.
- Control center: Swipe down from upper left corner for the Notification shade and from the upper right corner for the Control center. A new option allows to restrict opening the Control center while on the Lock screen.
- Status bar, Notification shade: A new option allows to switch between connected devices in the notification about media playback.
Although not mentioned anywhere, the phone feels much faster after the update, the audio problems appear to be gone, and the fingerprint scanner works flawlessly once again. One last major improvement that I noticed on my Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro after applying this update is that the notifications are no longer a complete mess. Since I am sure that you will find some other bugs that have been ironed out, the comments section is now all yours, so feel free to share your MIUI 12.1.5 experience with the rest of us.
