POCO has confirmed that its next global launch is to be for the long-awaited M3 Pro, and is going ahead on May 19, 2021. The brand is currently touting the phone with the unique tag-line "More Speed More Everything", in line with its 5G nature. However, there are signs that the actual hardware in question is less than brand new.
The POCO M3 Pro 5G is in fact said to be a re-brand of Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 5G. The former will distinguish itself from the latter with a new, possibly two-toned rear panel, camera-hump included - according to leaks posted by the popular tipster Ishan Agarwal, at least. POCO may have confirmed them in its latest teaser.
It unveils the M3 Pro's rear panel ahead of its formal debut, showing a triple-rear-camera device in which that feature is highlighted with a large sweeping cut-out. POCO's new poster shows this design in black, although leaks suggest yellow and blue will also be options on launch.
The OEM has also confirmed that the M3 Pro has a 6.5-inch notched display and a 5,000mAh battery - specs it happens to have in common with the Dimensity 700-powered Note 10 5G. Therefore, it now seems that little remains to be seen for the first time during its apparent alternate version's first outing - except for its price, of course.
