Xiaomi may have just announced the Redmi Note 10 5G globally, but the company has another variant planned under its POCO subsidiary. POCO has confirmed that the device is the M3 Pro 5G, building on the POCO M3 that the company announced in November.
While it appears that Xiaomi and POCO are saving the M3 Pro 5G's design until launch day, Ishan Agarwal has published two marketing renders. POCO plans to release three colour options, including an attention-grabbing yellow. POCO has also confirmed that the M3 Pro 5G has a 90 Hz display and a Dimensity 700 SoC, mirroring the Redmi Note 10 5G. Presumably, the M3 Pro 5G will retain the Redmi Note 10 5G's cameras, too.
According to Android Police, POCO hopes to transition its smartphones to an upgraded interface dubbed 'POCO UI'. So, POCO may attempt to differentiate its smartphones from Mi and Redmi ones with a revised UI. 'POCO UI' will not be arriving until later this year though, and will not be launching on the M3 Pro 5G.
The POCO M3 Pro 5G will debut on May 19. POCO will announce the device during a live stream, which it is hosting on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The POCO M3 Pro 5G launch event commences at 12:00 GMT.
