The saga surrounding the name of Samsung's next budget tablet continues. So far, the tablet has been referred to by three names: Tab S7 Lite, Tab S7 Plus Lite and Tab S7 XL Lite. The latter appeared in a Bluetooth SIG listing, but the Google Play Console and list of supported devices contradicts this name too. The tablet is expected to feature a 12.4-inch display regardless of its name, though.
According to the Google Play Console and its list of supported devices, Samsung has settled on the name Galaxy Tab S7 FE, with FE an acronym for Fan Edition. However, the Tab S7 FE is also referred to as the 'gts7xlite', hence the Tab S7 XL Lite name in last week's Bluetooth SIG listing.
The supported devices table states that the SM-T736B is, as expected, the 5G variant. There should be the Wi-Fi only SM-T730 too, along with the SM-T735 and the SM-T737 shown below. The table does not indicate what the SM-T737 is, though. Typically, Samsung uses the '5' suffix to denote an LTE model, so we are unsure what the SM-T737 could be.
Additionally, the Google Play Console confirms that the Tab S7 FE has a Snapdragon 750G SoC and 4 GB of RAM. Unsurprisingly, the tablet runs Android 11, albeit the One UI version of it. The Galaxy Tab S7 FE should be arriving next month.
