The Galaxy Z Fold2 has bagged a camera update, over six months after the foldable's release. Now, the device supports some of the advanced functionality that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S21 series.

Samsung has rolled out Dual Recording, its slimmed-down version of Director's View, to another flagship smartphone. Currently, Samsung has only made Director's View available to the Galaxy S21 series, but Dual Recording offers much of the same functionality.

Until now, the company had only brought Dual Recording to the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series, its most recent flagship smartphones before the Galaxy S21 series' release. Now, Samsung has brought Dual Recording to the Galaxy Z Fold2, its other flagship smartphone of 2020.

Strangely, Samsung's changelog does not state that it has added the function. Instead, it merely reports that the update improves camera performance, and enhances Quick Share between Samsung devices.

If you have a Galaxy Z Fold2, then Samsung has added Dual Recording as firmware version F916BXXU1DUDA/F916BOXM1DUDA/F916BXXU1DUDA. The update is available as an over-the-air (OTA) download and is rolling out globally now.
