Xiaomi has started distributing MIUI 12.5 internationally, beginning with the Mi 11. The flagship can now be upgraded to MIUI 12.5 on MIUI's European branch ahead of a wider rollout. Other devices should follow, including the Mi 10 series.

MIUI 12.5 has already reached numerous devices in China, as we have reported previously. Xiaomi insisted that it would start rolling out its latest OS globally in this quarter, but there was no sign of it last month. It seems that May could be the start of MIUI 12.5's global rollout though, as the OS has reached the Mi 11.

Xiaomi has included the Mi 11 as part of the first batch of devices to receive MIUI 12.5. There are only four other devices in this batch mind you, and all are from the Mi 10 series. The update in question is V12.5.1.0.RKBEUXM, with the build number signifying that Xiaomi will distribute it to MIUI's European branch.

Adimorah Blog notes that V12.5.1.0.RKBEUXM is a Stable Beta update, but it and the MIUI 12 Official Telegram channel (unofficial) have published a download link for the recovery zip file. This can be downloaded from Xiaomi's servers and is a 3.1 GB file, which you can then flash via About Phone on your Mi 11. Your device may need to be rooted to install V12.5.1.0.RKBEUXM though, if Xiaomi has locked it to its Mi Pilot program.

In short, we suspect that other MIUI 12.5 global builds will start landing within the next week or so. However, Xiaomi will begin its MIUI 12.5 global rollout in earnest until next month, if it has remained on track that is.
