Honor has confirmed that it will unveil the MagicBook Pro 16 in China on September 26. The laptop will ship with a 144Hz screen and a few other upgrades, such as 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake and AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors.

Now that the Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 have received the Lucienne treatment, it is time for the Pro models to follow suit. We managed to get some hands-on experience with last year's 16-inch Honor MagicBook Pro and found it to be a solid performer. This time around, the new Honor MagicBook Pro 16 is slated to get a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

An official teaser on Honor's official Weibo handle tells us that the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 will ship with a 144Hz screen. That is a significant upgrade over last year's model, which had its refresh rate capped at 60Hz. The teaser shows us that the notebook will have thin bezels, but not a whole lot more. It rounds things off by stating that the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 will be launched on September 26 in China.

We can expect Honor to refresh the MagicBook 16 Pro with the new AMD Ryzen 5000 and 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake series of processors. Previous iterations of the laptop didn't ship with a dGPU, so it is unlikely that the new models will follow suit. It is a tad disappointing, given the high-refresh-rate screen, but we have to remember that the notebook isn't designed for gaming.
