Honor Watch GS 3 presented with an industry-leading PPG heart rate monitor
Honor may have announced the Watch GS 3 alongside the Magic 3, but it has not revealed many details about its latest smartwatch yet. While the company published multiple screenshots on Weibo, technical specifications, prices, and a product page are nowhere to be seen.
Nonetheless, the product images released so far show the Watch GS 3 as having thin bezels and a relatively slim case. Additionally, the smartwatch has a touchscreen, two physical buttons and quick release watch straps. Hence, you should have no problem with using your prefered watch strap on the Watch GS 3. As the photos below show, Honor plans to sell the device in three colours, too.
All models will have an eight-channel PPG heart rate monitor, which Honor claims is industry-leading. The company has provided no evidence for this claim, mind you. Similarly, Honor states that the Watch GS 3 supports quad-channel data processing and an AI processor for improved heart rate accuracy.
Unfortunately, Honor has not disclosed what OS the Watch GS 3 runs either. As far as we know, Honor will rely on a proprietary OS rather than HarmonyOS 2, Wear OS 2 or Wear OS 3. We would expect the company to include numerous sports features and exercise modes, but we would be surprised to see third-party app support.
