The new 2023 model of the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 offers many highlights including the new GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop or the new 240 Hz Mini-LED screen. Asus also uses the new AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX, which beats Intel's HX CPUs and is also more efficient.

The Ryzen 7 7736U laptop would consume just 60 W when running games compared to 110 to 145 W on the PS4 while offering a similar level of performance. Integrated graphics have come a long way since the launch of the Sony console 10 years ago.

Documents leaked from Gigabyte reveal that AMD's AM5 platform supports Rembrandt and Phoenix processors in addition to the Raphael Ryzen 7000X released last year. This suggests that Team Red is preparing to update the Ryzen G-series with 6000G and 7000G models featuring the more powerful RDNA 2 and RDNA 3 iGPUs.

This discount pushes the US$1,999.99 list price to US$1,499.99, which is also the lowest price in 30 days.

The Beelink GTR6 is a powerful mini-PC that measures 168 x 120 x 43 mm. Despite its compact form factor, the Beelink GTR6 packs a Ryzen 9 6900HX, one of AMD's most powerful mobile APUs. A new deal has reduced the mini-PC by over US$200, taking it below US$750.

This Geekbench test was performed on a 2.7 GHz Radeon 780M integrated with the Ryzen 7 7840HS APU, but there also is a 2.8 GHz version on the Ryzen 9 7940H that could come close to an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti laptop dGPU.

The new AMD Ryzen 7 7730U is particularly quiet, but also provides a lot of computing power. This is due to the performance profiles, which are cleverly tuned to the tablet- and notebook modes. And there is the display cover, which is covered with fabric in a matching color.

The R5 7640U APU is 25% faster than any previous gen AMD mobile processor in single-core tests, while for multi-core loads, it brings 60% improved performance over the Ryzen 5 6600U predecessor, and is just 15% slower than the Ryzen 9 6900HX.

The AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX APU has turned up on PassMark and in the process has delivered incredible single-thread and multi-test suite results. The Ryzen 9 7945HX is so powerful that it easily surpasses the mobile CPU competitor Intel Core i9-13980HX and sets its sights on the desktop monster i9-13900KS instead.

AMD could have made an RTX 4090 competitor but chose not to in favor of a trade-off between price and competitive performance. AMD's rationale is that a 600 W card with a US$1,600 price tag is not a mainstream option for PC gamers and that the company always strived to price its flagship GPUs in the US$999 bracket. The company execs also explained why an MCM approach to the GPU die may not be feasible yet unlike what we've seen with CPUs.

The energy efficient AMD Ryzen 7 5825U is complemented by 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM. Apart from the touchscreen with 1920 X 200 @60 Hz and wider color gamut, other outstanding features include an SD card reader and a fingerprint sensor integrated in the power button.

Courtesy of 3D cache, L3 cache that resides on top of a Core Chiplet Die (CCD) aimed at providing increased performance in cache-sensitive applications, the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X3D has now proven to be the fastest gaming CPU on the market per launch review analysis conducted by 3DCenter.

Promotional material on Ebuyer suggests that current and last-gen AMD graphics cards will soon be bundled with a copy of The Last of Us Part 1. Eligible products include the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, 7900 XT and the entire Radeon RX 6000 lineup.

Introduced in late September 2022 with a US$299 list price, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X desktop processor is now down to US$237 on Amazon, thanks to a 21% discount. Although it comes with integrated Radeon graphics, this 5 nm chip with a typical 105 W TDP does not retail bundled with a cooling solution.

The 8-core Ryzen 7 7840HS is a part of the trio of Phoenix-HS APUs that AMD revealed in January. Moore’s Law Is Dead has now leaked the 3DMark Time Spy performance of the chip and the results look very encouraging if accurate.

At MWC, we were able to get a hands on with the newest 2023 gen ThinkPad laptops. Highlights are the new ThinkPad Z series and the ThinkPad X13 G3, but we also received some interesting information about the new ThinkPad T series.

The Radeon Pro W6800X Duo is available as a US$5,000 upgrade for Apple's Mac pro 2019 workstations. It surprisingly supports Crossfire as well, so two of these cards can be paired together, which, in theory, could wipe the floor with the RTX 4090. Not a cost-effective solution by any means, however.

The Dell XPS Desktop 8960 can now be configured with Intel Raptor Lake processors, up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, Nvidia Turing/Ampere/Ada Lovelace and AMD RDNA 2/RDNA 3 graphics cards, up to a 1,000 Watt power supply and liquid cooling.

The Ryzen 7040 Phoenix-HS APUs combine a Zen 4 CPU with an RDNA 3 Radeon 780M/760M iGPU. The Radeon 780M on the Ryzen 9 7940HS and the Ryzen 7 7840HS features 12 Compute Units (CU) while the Radeon 760M on the Ryzen 5 7640HS boasts 8 CUs. Now, AMD has quietly reduced the GPU clock speeds as well as cut PCIe Gen 5 support from the upcoming Ryzen 7040-HS APUs.

AMD announced the Zen 4 Ryzen 7000X3D parts at CES 2023. The processors include the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. AMD lifted the Ryzen 9 7950X3D’s review embargo on February 27 and per independent reviews, the CPU is a beast in gaming. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D is also reportedly miles ahead of the Core i9-13900K/KS in FPS per watt.

At MWC, Lenovo is introducing the second generation of its ThinkPad Z series. ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 and Z16 Gen 2 both look a lot like their predecessors, but they receive a new haptic trackpad made by Sensel. This marks the first time that Sensel provides their complete technology stack for a laptop trackpad.

Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 and ThinkPad Z16 Gen 2 at MWC 2023. Both laptops feature 16:10 IPS/OLED screens, AMD Ryzen 7000 processors, two USB 4.0 ports and LPDDR5x memory. The Z16 Gen 2 goes on sale in August, and the Z13 Gen 2 in July.

At MWC, Lenovo is announcing most models of the new ThinkPad lineup. One of the main highlights are the classic models of the ThinkPad T series. T14s Gen 4, T14 Gen 4 and T16 Gen 2 are updates of last years models, but they still bring a few new features.

The ThinkPads of the X series are the smallest, most mobile ThinkPad laptops for the enterprise market. In 2023, Lenovo is completely redesigning the X13 and its convertible counterpart ThinkPad X13 Yoga.

Armed with just an iGPU, the VivoBook is a multimedia laptop aiming to compete in the entry-level segment and pulls this off in a surprising manner. What's more, not having a dGPU also has some interesting side benefits.

With a list price of US$899.99, the Asus ZenBook 13 OLED ultra-slim laptop is now down to US$647.03 on Amazon thanks to a generous discount. The model UM325UA-DH71 comes in Pine Grey finish, loaded with Windows 11 Home and driven by the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U processor alongside 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD.

First-party benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D have leaked online. The Zen 4 X3D processor outperforms the Core i9-13900K by up to 6% and the Ryzen 9 7950X by up to 16% in gaming but loses out to the former in some synthetic benchmarks.

Amazon US has reduced the Beelink SER6, a compact mini-PC powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 6600H and Radeon 660M. 16 GB of DDR5 RAM is also on board, as is a 1 TB SSD. Currently, the Beelink SER6 can be picked up for under US$500.

AYA NEO has confirmed when it plans to start selling the AIR Plus, one of its latest gaming handhelds. Offered with a 6-inch and 1080p IPS display, the AIR Plus is expected to start for under US$300. Prices are likely to pick up for Ryzen 7 6800U back models, though.

MINISFORUM has previewed the Neptune MBG6, a mini-PC packed with a desktop-class AMD Ryzen processor and a discrete GPU. The combination should yield better gaming performance than its lower-powered laptop-class mini-PCs.

Apart from featuring a lower TDP, the Ryzen 9 7900 also features 4 less cores, yet the performance is fairly close to the last gen top-of-the-line 105 W Ryzen 9 5950X. The 65 W power envelope on the Ryzen 9 7900 even allows it to be cooled with a passive solution, making it an excellent choice for the silent PC fans.

The AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX scores 2,127 and 19,403 points on Geekbench's single and multi-core tests, putting it within spitting distance of the Raptor Lake-HX flagship, the Core i9-13980HX.

Desktop versions of the Radeon RX 7800, RX 7700, and RX 7600 have supposedly been delayed. AMD plans to launch the graphics card around China's 618 festival on June 18.

Thanks to two stackable coupon codes, the usually pretty expensive 17-inch gaming laptop made by the the Dell-owned company can now be bought for US$1,146, which arguably is a reasonable price for this particular all-AMD Alienware m17 R5 configuration.

AMD Ryzen 7045HX “Dragon Range” chips are set to make their debut in enthusiast gaming laptops this month. Per AMD’s marketing materials, the Ryzen 9 7945HX, the Ryzen 7 7745HX, and the Ryzen 5 7645HX will beat their Intel Alder Lake competitors in both single-core and multi-core workloads.

MINISFORUM has started selling the UM773 Lite globally. Equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, a Zen 3+ APU, the UM773 Lite also supports DDR5 SO-DIMM, PCIe 4.0 SSDs and plenty of ports. Prices start at US$409 as a barebones unit and rise to US$789 with 64 GB RAM and a 2 TB SSD.

Instead of limiting AI-powered processing to image quality improvements, AMD wants to utilize the RDNA 4 inference cores to make games more fun and life-like with better moving characters and more complex pathfinding. Image rendering techniques involving 3D primitives and indirect lighting could also see benefits from the AI treatment.

AMD revealed the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D featuring an extra 64 MB of 3D V-Cache at CES 2023. A rumor now alleges that AMD will lift the Ryzen 9 7950X3D/7900X3D review embargo shortly before general availability. A separate report claims that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D 3D V-Cache CCD frequencies could be more than the Ryzen 9 7950X3D.

AMD's upcoming Ryzen 7 7745HX scores 1,828 and 18,606 points in Cinebench R23 while consuming up to 95 Watts of power under load. The Dragon Range processor offers up to a 34% performance uplift over the Ryzen 9 6900HX and trades blows with the Intel Core i9-12950HX.
