It seems that MINISFORUM is preparing to launch the UM780 XTX, only a few days after presenting the UM480XT. For context, the company has not officially presented the mini-PC yet. However, the likes of Minixpc, TechTablets and Tech Going have all discussed the UMX780 XTX to varying degrees.
For example, TechTablets has confirmed that they are already 'testing the UM780 XTX'. Additionally, Minixpc and Tech Going have shared screenshots that appear to originate from Chinese social media. At any rate, the UM780 XTX is an expansion of the UM780 series that MINISFORUM debuted a few months ago. Reportedly, the mini-PC features the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, which has 8 Zen 4 CPU cores, a Radeon 780M iGPU and a TDP boosted to 70 W.
Moreover, the UM780 XTX has a built-in Oculink port for eGPU usage. Unfortunately, this port may be connected to a spare M.2 slot and not to the motherboard itself, like on the GPD Win Max 2 2023. Reportedly, MINISFORUM will begin selling the UM780 XTX on November 10 in some capacity, although we imagine this only applies to China and not globally.
