Topton GM1 brings 13th Gen Core i7 in fanless, zero-noise chassis
Only a handful of Chinese mini PC manufacturers offer small and fanless systems. Topton is one of them. And with its GM1 mini PC, the company is putting an interesting twist on zero-noise mini PCs.
On the official AliExpress store, Topton is selling the GM1 with up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U. For context, this CPU boasts 10 cores and 12 threads, making it far from a low-tier processor. However, the TDP of the CPU is 15 watts, which has likely played a role in this interesting design.
Speaking of its fanless design, the Topton GM1 has an aluminum alloy chassis that measures 170 mm x 126 mm x 51 mm. The unit is equipped with fins on the sides and top for passive heat dissipation.
That said, the Topton GM1 is also available with Intel Core i5-1235U, i5-1335U, and i7-1255U. All the variants come with up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and 2 TB of NVMe SSD.
While the mini PC is pretty small for its internals, the Topton GM1 offers a good number of ports. The ports include:
- 1x 3.5 mm mic input
- 1x 3.5 mm headphone out
- 1x Thunderbolt 4
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 4x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2x Ethernet 2.5 GbE
- 2x HDMI 2.0 ports
For wireless connectivity, the Topton GM1 mini PC is equipped with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. It also has antennas on the chassis, which enhances the wireless connections.
Regarding pricing, the current starting price of the Topton GM1 is US$356.14. On the other hand, the fully kitted variant with the Intel i7-1355U CPU, 64 GB of RAM, and 2 TB NVMe SSD is currently listed at US$667.77 on the AliExpress store. Interestingly, Kingnovy also sells the same mini PC with similar pricing and specs on its own AliExpress store.
