Deal | ASUS TUF A15 gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 7940HS and RTX 4060 drops to US$1,099

The Asus TUF gaming laptops are already some of the more affordable solutions on the market at MSRP, yet they still receive nice discounts at select retailers. However, for some reason, the A15 2023 models have not seen any meaningful price cuts until now. With Black Friday just around the corner, B&H is slashing US$300 off for the Asus 15-inchers, bringing the price down to US$1,099.

Equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, this TUF A15 configuration benefits from the integrated Radeon 780M graphics plus the useful AI accelerators provided by the Phoenix architecture. If users need to output to a bigger screen, there is also an Nvidia RTX 4060 dGPU that can handle higher resolutions than the 1080p one offered by the 15.6-inch display. While a bit dim for this size at 250 nits typical maximum brightness, the IPS screen is still decent with 100% sRGB color gamut and 144 Hz refresh rate. Also provided are 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Port selection is particularly great for this price point as it includes a USB4 connector, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with power delivery, HDMI 2.1 video out, audio combo jack and GbE jack. Wireless connectivity comes through a Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.2 card. The only small downside here is the 720p webcam. With a 90 Wh battery that offers quite good uptime, the TUF A15 weighs 4.85 lbs (2.2kg).
