CES 2023 | Refreshed Asus TUF Gaming A15 and A17 laptops unveiled with up to AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

Back in 2021, the Asus TUF Gaming A15 powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 duo got the in-depth review treatment from Notebookcheck and was praised for its original design and "good gaming performance within the scope of the installed hardware." The larger A17 came with similar hardware, but leaving the size aside, it also came with a higher TGP of 140 W which allowed for improved performance. Now, the Asus TUF Gaming A15 and A17 return with new processor and graphics hardware, as well as a few brand-new features.

In addition to NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and the MUX Switch featured by both models, the Asus TUF Gaming A15 and A17 come with support for a maximum TGP of 140 W with Dynamic Boost. This increase in performance (and the amount of generated heat as a consequence) comes alongside an improved cooling system. The dual Arc Flow fans feature an 84-blade design that allows them to deliver up to 13% more airflow than their predecessors while being quieter at the same time.

Both models will ship with Windows 11.
