Asus TUF Gaming A15: Budget gaming laptop with AMD processor
The Asus TUF Gaming A15 is equipped with decent hardware for approximately 1,800 Euros (~$2,125). In addition to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD are available. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 is responsible for displaying image content, and it's running at a maximum of 90 watts here.
Despite the limited TGP, practically every modern game can be executed smoothly at high detail levels and in Full HD resolution. The CPU also does a good job, but according to our Cinebench R15 endurance stress test, it becomes a bit less performant under heavy load after some time.
The 15-inch IPS display not only offers a high contrast ratio and a 99% color-space coverage (sRGB), but also a refresh rate of 240 Hz. Adaptive Sync is also supported, and relatively fast response times are also available.
Compared to the visually identical Intel variant, the Asus TUF Gaming F15, the available ports are identical, although you'll have to manage without Thunderbolt 4 support on the A15. On the other hand, the same robust case is used, which offers very good maintenance options.
Furthermore, the Wi-Fi speeds are very fast according to our tests, allowing the TUF A15 to outperform the competition, such as the Aorus 15P XC. The same goes for battery life, which is very good in our real-world Wi-Fi test at around 11.5 hours.
We'll reveal more about what the Asus TUF Gaming A15 has to offer in our detailed review.
