Smart business idea? HP is not the first manufacturer to bring a slim 10-inch tablet onto the business market - but never before has this concept been realized that consistently: for around 1,000 Euros (~$1319), the buyer not only get Intel's fastest Atom processor, including 4 GB RAM and 64-bit operating system, but also an integrated LTE module as well as different safety features.

Brilliant star. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 relies on an in-house South Korean processor, which is why it slightly lags behind the Note 10.1 in terms of performance. Battery life shows some flaws, which are however still in a very good range. The star of the Tab S is clearly the display, which can entirely convince.

Light-shunning LTE slate. Dell launches a balanced, 7-inch tablet that is based on a current Atom processor from the Merrifield generation and Google's Android 4.4 KitKat, dubbed Venue 7 LTE, on the market. Seven times the charm. The time has come for Acer to update their Iconia One 7 budget tablet with new technology. The new machine once again runs on an Intel Atom processor, and the 7-inch IPS display offers HD resolution. Beyond that, the tablet also houses 8 GB of flash memory, a microSD slot and WLAN b/g/n. At a price of about 100 Euros (~$135), Acer's new Iconia One is a good deal.
