Yesterday, Alcatel launched the Pixi 4 (7) tablet in India. This Android slate comes in two variants - one with WiFi connectivity only, and the other with 4G and dual-SIM, both available for purchase via Flipkart already. Although carrying a very low price tag, both variants are dust and splash proof.
The 4G variant is powered by the MediaTek MTK8735D processor, next to 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 64 GB. It has a 7-inch display with 1,024X600 pixels, 5 MP and 8 MP cameras, as well as a 4,000 mAh battery.
The WiFi-only Pixi 4 (7) has the same display, but only 8 GB internal storage, 0.3 MP and 2 MP cameras, as well as a 2,580 mAh battery. Just like its more capable sibling, it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The color options available are called smoky gray and volcano black. The WiFi-only Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) costs around $61 USD, while the 4G variant can be acquired for the equivalent of $100 USD.
