HP Spectre X2 12 has been around for a while, and it seems like the time for a refresh has arrived. According to a French website, this updated convertible is now larger, also coming with a few design changes next to the latest hardware parts.

Dubbed HP Spectre X2 12 (2017), this new convertible slate with Windows 10 on board is expected to hit the market in two variants:

  • HP Spectre X2 12-C000NF - Intel Core i5-7260U + 8 GB RAM + 256 GB SSD storage
  • HP Spectre X2 12-C001NF - Intel Core i7-7560U + 16 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD storage

In addition to the above, these portables come with a 12.3-inch IPS display that can host 3,000X2,000 pixels, 5 MP and 13 MP cameras, Bang & Olufsen audio, WiFi 802.11 ac, as well as Bluetooth 4.2 with Miracast support. There is also an Intel Iris Plus 640 graphics card in the specs list, next to two USB Type-C ports. The battery provides up to 8 hours of autonomy and can be charged from empty to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

The tablet is made of aluminum and weighs 1.72 pounds without the dock and 2.54 with it. The prices for France should be €1,499 EUR and €1,999 EUR ($1,685 USD and $2,246 USD). HP Spectre X2 12 (2017) is expected to launch in the coming weeks.
