Power saver. OnePlus opted for RTOS instead of Google's Wear OS and against an always-on display due to battery life concerns. However, that and an equivalent to the Play Store's Health app for the iPhone are reportedly already under discussion. We also found a few software bugs for the developers, but we are otherwise excited about the smartwatch. And not only because of its low price.

Light baggage. The Amazfit T-Rex Pro is as robust as it is lightweight. Additional hardware like a barometer and a new biometric sensor make the Zepp wearable a lot better than its predecessor, which was still released under Huami. We also liked numerous settings in the test, including its options for the display, health management, and sports.

Fine-tuning. Without much fuss, Huawei raises an important pillar of health monitoring to a level that many current wearables, even more expensive ones, have not been able to reach so far. The external changes are subtle yet all-around positive.

Big is beautiful. Externally, the Xiaomi Mi Watch and the realme Watch S are very similar. While the Mi Watch is above the 100-Euro (~$118) mark just like the recently introduced realme Watch S Pro, the Watch S is an attractive tracker in the lower price segment. Our side-by-side comparison will reveal whether the Watch S is a price breaker and for whom the additional price is worth it.

Not everybody's darling. We got some ideas from our readers for the review of the Xiaomi Mi Watch. This sometimes led to different results depending on whether the wearable is connected to an Android device or an iPhone. The differences aren't only related to Alexa. Especially when it comes to the health parameters, it's not all good news.
