The release of the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro is just over two weeks away, with Samsung having already scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked event for August 10. For reference, Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4, prices of which leaked last week. Incidentally, a retailer may have revealed the European launch prices for the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro. Meanwhile, Samsung has released One UI Watch 4.5 Beta 5, presumably the final beta build before Samsung showcases One UI Watch 4.5 with the Galaxy Watch5 series.
Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when Samsung will release One UI Watch 4.5 to the Galaxy Watch4 or Galaxy Watch4 Classic. For now, R8xxXXU1ZVG7 should be the most stable way of experiencing One UI Watch 4.5 on the Galaxy Watch4 or Galaxy Watch4 Classic to date. As the screenshot below shows, One UI Watch 4.5 Beta 5 contains no new feature, with Samsung focussing on fixing bugs and making minor software improvements, instead. Specifically, Samsung claims to have stabilised watch face functionality in various areas. Purportedly, Samsung has stabilised power consumption with Beta 5 too, as well as improving battery charging functionality.
Similarly, the Watch4 Manager has received an update to 2.2.11.220718, but only the beta version. As always, you can update the Watch4 Manager through the Galaxy Watch plugin. Both updates are available to download now; please note that R8xxXXU1ZVG7 is over 150 MB a download, so it may take some time to install on your Galaxy Watch4 series smartwatch.
