Fitbit has updated the Luxe a few days after it issued a similar update for the Charge 5. Unsurprisingly, the former has received a similar update to the latter. In fact, Fitbit has issued the same software version to both fitness trackers. Hence, software version 1.171.50 is also now available for the Fitbit Luxe, although with not quite the same changes that Fitbit included for the Charge 5.
Specifically, the Luxe has not received a fix for a battery drain issue that affected the Charge 5. However, Fitbit has added new clock faces, which you can find in the Fitbit Gallery and the Fitbit app. Additionally, Fitbit has brought its 'find your phone' feature to the Luxe via a dedicated Find Phone app. Please note that your paired smartphone must be turned on with Bluetooth active, as well as being within 10 metres of your Fitbit Luxe. Moreover, your smartphone must have the Fitbit app running in the background. In other words, the feature is not much use other than in a specific set of circumstances and may not work at all with some smartphones that are quick to kill background tasks.
Separately, Fitbit claims to have included various bug fixes and improvements. Unfortunately, Fitbit has not explained what improvements or bug fixes it has made with software version 1.171.50. Regardless, the update should be available to download to the Luxe now via the Fitbit app on your paired smartphone.
