GPD has not released the Duo yet. Nonetheless, a popular third-party reseller has already started taking pre-orders for GPD's innovative dual-display laptop. Not only that, but they are only marginally more expensive than GPD's early bird pricing.

It seems that Microsoft may soon refresh the Surface Pro 11 with a new model. While the company has not officially revealed anything yet, said refresh has already been spotted across over half a dozen retailers.

The new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus-powered Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1, and the new convertible device packs a 14-inch 1920×1200p OLED display with a claimed 100% DCI-P3 coverage and a healthy ports selection — including dual USB-A ports — into a surprisingly slim 17.5 mm thick aluminium chassis. Theoretically, this should make Lenovo's latest convertible a rather nifty photo and video editing machine — as long as the Snapdragon X Plus is up to the task.

Asus has launched the VivoBook 14 Flip and VivoBook 16 Flip Copilot+ PCs powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 7 258V Lunar Lake processor together with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The VivoBook 14 Flip and 16 Flip share a similar spec sheet for the most part, but the VivoBook 16 Flip features a 3K 120 Hz OLED panel while the 14 Flip makes do with a FHD+ 60 Hz OLED display.

Both the Ryzen 7 8840HS- and Ryzen 5 8640HS-powered HP Envy 14 2-in-1 convertible laptops have been steeply discounted at Best Buy, with the former now coming in at a whopping $599.99. For that price, you get 16 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM, up to a 1 TB NVMe SSD, and identical or better performance than something like an Asus ROG Ally, with added pen input benefits, to boot.

This 2-in-1 model features 16 GB DDR5X-6400 RAM, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a fast charging battery and a microSD card reader. The IPS touchscreen with limited color gamut and 1920 x 1200 resolution is the only minus.

The convertible HP Envy 16 is powered by 16 GB of RAM paired with the AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS and Radeon 780M iGPU — the same iGPU as found in the Ryzen Z1 Extreme from the Asus ROG Ally — making the sleek, aluminium laptop a powerful all-rounder capable of everything from general productivity to digital art and light gaming.

The 2024 Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 convertible laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is back on sale for a massive 24% discount on the list price. Thanks to its 1.32 kg (2.93 lbs) of weight and a compact 14-inch OLED screen, the Yoga 9i Gen 9 is a portable multimedia machine that ticks a lot of boxes.

The well-equipped QHD configuration of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 3 also features an Intel Core i5-1245U as well as 16GB of memory. On sale for $729, the convertible is a mentionable option for laptop users who are looking for a compact 13-inch machine.

SZBOX has released a new 2-in-1 device built around a 14-inch and 1440p display. Available with an AMD Ryzen 3 7320U APU and 12 GB of RAM, the machine will be considerably less powerful than recent MINISFORUM V3 and Surface Pro 11 releases.

Lenovo's Yoga 7i is a value-focused 2-in-1 laptop with a large 16-inch IPS touchscreen, 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage, and decent connectivity, including a couple of Thunderbolt 4 ports. MINISFORUM has been selling its first 2-in-1 since April. Equipped with a 165 Hz display and an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU, the MINISFORUM V3 remains one of, if not the most, powerful 2-in-1 around. Seemingly for a short time, the device is available on Amazon for just $949 with 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage and a detachable keyboard cover, a $300 and near 25% saving.

The Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 2024 convertible laptop is currently on sale at Best Buy at a big 24% discount. The machine packs an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H Meteor Lake CPU, 16 GB of speedy LPDDR5x-7467 memory, a 1 TB Gen 4 SSD, and a 14-inch touch OLED display. Other notable hardware details include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 75 Wh battery.

The Asus ProArt PX13 is a compact convertible with lots of power. It not only has a Ryzen AI 9 processor, but also a dedicated Nvidia graphics card, a touchscreen and a number of useful ports.

The versatile 14-inch convertible is currently on sale for just $881 at Lenovo's official online outlet store, which means that the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8 is now worth a look for bargain hunters who are in the market for a sturdy business laptop with a decent screen.

Other highlights include a USB4 port, a microSD card reader and a relatively big 71 Wh battery. This is, however, the IPS LCD touchscreen version, which comes with lower color gamut.

Alongside GPD, Acemagic is also showcasing a dual-screen laptop in Computex 2024. Called Acemagic Z1A, it comes with a standard notebook design but has a secondary screen that you can hide when you don’t need it. Besides the two screens, it can be equipped with an Intel Core i7 1265U or i7 1255U, supports two M.2 SSDs, features LPDDR4 3200 MHz memory, and weighs 1.8 KG.

'AI' laptops, desktops and convertibles seem poised to take over the PC world already. According to new research, however, they are not likely to do so quite yet, with their percentage of the market projected to be in the single digits for 2024. Then again, they may also have the potential to be the thing that finally restores demand in the end.

GPD has now revealed full specs for the Duo, its first attempt at building a twin-display laptop. Not only does the GPD Duo feature a pair of OLED displays, but it also packs an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U GPU, an 80 Wh battery and more ports than the average laptop. GPD has integrated other features, too like an OCuLink port for connecting an eGPU to improve gaming performance.

The Asus ProArt lineup is getting its first taste of ARM goodness with the new ProArt PZ13 detachable Copilot+ PC. The ProArt PZ13 HT5306 sports a 3K Asus Lumina OLED panel and is powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X Series chips. The PZ13 emphasizes on portability with its ultra-slim 9 mm thickness and 0.85 kg weight.

Asus is introducing a convertible ProArt at Computex 2024, the ProArt PX13. The new ProArt PX13 is a Copilot+ PC with a Pantone-validated 3K OLED panel and is powered by AMD's new Ryzen AI 300 Strix Point APUs and dGPU options up to the RTX 4070.

Acer has new TravelMate P4 laptops lined up at Computex 2024. The TravelMate P4 Spin 14 and TravelMate P4 16 feature Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra processors with vPro Enterprise while the TravelMate P4 14 is based on the AMD Ryzen Pro 8040 APUs with Ryzen AI and support for Enterprise Mobility Management.

GPD has shared more details on its upcoming dual-display laptop. Called Duo, the system will come with two 13.3-inch OLED screens with support for 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and 10-point touch. It's also touted to sport an "ultra-portable" design and be compatible with the Surface Pen stylus.

No independent Snapdragon X device reviews have been released yet. Instead, Qualcomm has stepped in to highlight the strengths of its Hexagon NPU again, which it claims delivers up to 45 TOPS of theoretical performance. Unsurprisingly, Qualcomm boasts that the Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) surpasses the Apple M3 and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H in most areas, including performance per watt.

Microsoft is asking for at least $1,499.99 if you want a new Surface Pro with an OLED display. However, Amazon is already providing a cheaper alternative that only changes the M.2 2230 SSD that comes pre-installed.

Microsoft has finally replaced the Surface Pro 9 that it announced in 2022. Arriving in the wake of the 'for Business' Surface Pro 10, Microsoft has decided to jump straight to the Surface Pro 11 for its first full ARM-powered consumer release. Other exclusives to the Surface Pro 11 in the series include an optional OLED display that outputs at 2.8K and 120 Hz.

MINISFORUM has quietly snuck out a cheaper version of its AMD Ryzen-powered 2-in-1. Previously available with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, the new MINISFORUM V3 model sacrifices RAM for a $230 saving that drops it below $999.

The AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor makes its laptop debut on models like the HP Envy X360 14. Still, this particular model might not get you the best bang for your buck, as it combines the powerful processor with rather budget-oriented components that seem overpriced.
