Sharge has started to hint that it has a successor to the Disk Plus in the works, one that might go beyond that gadget's handy portable SSD use-case with that of what is usually a whole other gadget.
The Disk Pro's previews to date strongly suggest that it is the first of its line to have connectivity besides that of USB-C. Its renders to date also categorically show that it has ports for USB type-A and HDMI thus far.
Accordingly, the Disk Pro could restore the ability to use external monitors and older USB drives to devices such as the Lenovo Legion Go, MacBook Air or even perhaps a newer iPhone.
The Pro also still apparently supports the installation of SSDs of up to 4TB in capacity and with read/write speeds of up to 1,000 megabytes per second (MB/s).
It is set to drop the thermal pad of its Plus predecessor for an actual spinning fan, though. Unlike that of Sharge's IceMag power banks, this active cooling solution is hyped to be "adjustable".
The Disk Pro also swaps the extra-slim metallic look of the Plus for a see-though new housing, one that has an in-built USB-C cable this time, moreover.
Sharge has yet to specify when and how the Disk Pro will see launch, although the OEM is currently inviting applicants to a Discord-based Pre-Release Testing program for the upcoming hybrid accessory ahead of the release of its "30% Off Super Early-Bird" promotional offers.
