In contrast to previous prototypes, Oppo apparently does not plan to do without a dual-periscope telephoto camera for the successor to the Find X8 Ultra, according to a recent report by Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station. The planned dual-200 MP camera is apparently off the table at Oppo, but not at Vivo. According to recent information, the successor to the Vivo X200 Ultra will reportedly be the first and only camera with two 200 MP sensors, as the same leaker just revealed on Weibo.
Accordingly, next year's Zeiss camera flagship will feature a 200MP main camera and an additional 1/1.4-inch 200 MP sensor for the periscope telephoto lens, with a large aperture also mentioned. The size of the main camera's sensor has not yet been disclosed, but it is not unlikely that the rumored 1/1.1-inch Sony sensor will be installed here, which is also likely to be installed in the Xiaomi 16 Ultra behind the telephoto lens.
According to the leaker, the third sensor in the bundle for the ultra-wide-angle lens will continue to provide a maximum of 50 MP. Also on board are a new T* coating from Zeiss and the imaging chips developed by Vivo itself, possibly a successor to the Vivo V3+. Unlike the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro with Dimensity 9500 chipsets, the Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
