Xiaomi 16 Ultra to launch with renewed camera collaboration and prominent Leica logo

Xiaomi is rumoured to have plenty of high-end smartphones waiting in the wings after launching the Redmi Note 15 series last month in China. Based on recent leaks, the company will soon release the Redmi K90 series in its home market. Meanwhile, Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro (curr. $609 on Amazon) successors should be official any day now, given the volume and depth of recent leaks.

On top of that, Xiaomi is expected to update its flagship smartphones with the Xiaomi 16 series. As it stands, the series is believed to be kicking off with the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max, with the Xiaomi 16 Ultra following in early 2026.

Nonetheless, Kartikey Singh claims to have already received exclusive information about the Xiaomi 16 Ultra. Writing on X, the leaker reports that Xiaomi will continue to collaborate with Leica for its next Ultra-branded flagship, just like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Ultra before it.

However, Xiaomi is alleged to have finally adopted Leica's infamous Coca-Cola style logo. Incidentally, Xiaomi includes this recognisable logo in Xiaomi 14T Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra marketing materials. Concrete details about differences between the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 16 Ultra are unlikely to emerge until the end of 2025 at the earliest.
