We are about eight months away from the launch of GTA 6 and till now, there have only been two official trailers from Rockstar. Considering the game was first announced almost two years ago, the developer has been pretty quiet when it comes to marketing the game. With all the hype around it, it looks like Rockstar doesn’t even need to promote it. But from a couple of recent job postings, it looks the new GTA 6 promotional content is being planned.
Spotted by the GTA 6 Countdown account and shared on X, Rockstar New York is looking to hire two individuals for its marketing department. The positions are for a Narrative Video Editor and a Motion Graphics Artist. The former will work in the Video Production Department which focuses on trailers and video assets released online. This includes social media posts, TV commercials, and more.
The Motion Graphics Artist will also be part of the same department and work on creating 2D and 3D motion graphics for trailers and other marketing assets.
While neither of the job listings mention GTA 6 explicitly, the team bringing these new hires onboard is working on “some of the most rewarding, large-scale creative projects to be found in any entertainment medium.” This still doesn’t confirm GTA 6 to be the project in question considering Rockstar also has the Red Dead Redemption IP. That being said, we are about eight months away from the release of GTA 6 which could mean that Rockstar is looking to start promoting it over the next few months.
Does that mean we will get a new trailer before the year ends? Possibly. The first trailer was released in December 2023 and Trailer 2 (linked below) came out in May this year, after a 16-month gap. GTA 6 is scheduled for May 26, 2026 and it will first arrive on consoles, if there are no more delays, with a PC release likely happening a year after.
