We are now just over six months away from the launch of GTA 6 and the internet can’t stop talking about the game. Ahead of the launch, a select few will get early access to the game for initial reviews and if the latest information turns out to be accurate, the chosen will have to visit a designated location for a number of days rather than being sent codes of the game.
Typically, before a game releases, the publishers and developers provide codes to reviewers including media and content creators to try it out and share their initial impressions. This creates more anticipation for the game and can boost sales. GTA 6 is expected to do the same, though the hype and anticipation for the game is already incredible. What’s interesting is that instead of sending codes to reviewers, the team may call the chosen personalities to a designated location for a few days to try the game out.
The information comes from Detective Seeds on X who cites an employee of the publishing company contacted through a mutual connection on LinkedIn. Calling people to a location for review purposes will allow Rockstar to control the setting, environment, and access to the game. However, it is unclear what restrictions will be put on the reviewers in order to keep spoilers at bay.
That being said, Rockstar has not shared any information on reviews for the game and judging by the May 2026 release timeline, there’s still a few months to go before the game is made available to anybody. The last update from Rockstar was Trailer 2 which released in May this year. There has been speculation suggesting that the developer is planning TV spots and commercials for the game, if not a new trailer before the end of this year.
