GTA IV takes on the look of a remaster thanks to this RTX Remix mod

GTA IV is certainly one of the most popular games in the franchise, thanks in particular to the story of Niko Bellic and the many places to discover in Liberty City. And while fans wait for the announcement of a remastered version of this game, they will be able to turn to this RTX Remix mod.

For this, it is important to note that GTA IV was released in 2008, which means that it has some significant graphics shortcomings. Thus, xoxor4d has decided to give it a new look by making some specific changes. 

He added real-time path tracing, which allows to have lights similar to recent games and that are closer to reality. The texture of the buildings and the reflections has also been improved, giving them a modern and more appealing look.

In addition, he presented this mod in a video posted on YouTube. And you can see Niko Bellic driving his car to show the reflections on the bodywork, as well as walking down the street.

However, if this makes you want to play GTA IV, you should know that this mod is still in development. And although it will be free, there is no release date announced yet. So you'll have to be patient before you can enjoy it.
