Rockstar Games could develop a medieval game in the coming years

Today, Rockstar Games is mainly known for the Grand Theft Auto franchise, whose next game could start with a catastrophe. However, it seems that the studio wanted to explore other worlds, including the medieval era. 

This information comes from Dan Houser, who spoke with Lex Fridman about the history of this iconic studio. And after discussing various projects that have been canceled in recent years, he said this: 

"We played around with a knights concept, trying to do a version of a mythological game. Still love that idea."

However, following this announcement, he specified that the project had never been written and that it was a simple idea. And to explain this, it is possible to turn to GTA 6, which still required a lot of work.

But today, its development seems to be soon finished, and a release date is also scheduled for May 26, 2026. Thus, following this announcement by Dan Houser, it would appear that a medieval game could be a good opportunity for Rockstar Games.

Indeed, it is a universe that can be interesting for thousands of players. In addition, this studio is renowned for its immersive games, as was the case with Red Dead Redemption 2, which plunges us into the Wild West with great realism.
