Garb the Games is holding a special game sale event on Steam, and alongside offering discounts on games, the publisher has made a paid game free for a limited time. The title under the spotlight is Death Fungeon, a puzzle platformer that was released in 2018.

This well-rated puzzle game generally goes for $2.99 when there's no sale in place, but until November 05, 2025, it will have a $0 price tag. It's worth noting that there's a limited number of free-to-keep supplies available for this title on Steam. Therefore, this free game deal may expire before the specified timeframe.

As for the game itself, Death Fungeon is praised for how it combines parkour elements with stealth mechanics. It makes players go through challenging terrains that are filled with prison guards and traps. There are two primary ways of approach, offering players the freedom to choose how they progress.

One of the approaches is more about being stealthy and avoiding fights by clearing levels without drawing attention. Regarding the other, it's more about finishing the levels as fast as possible by choosing parkour over stealth. As mentioned above, players can also combine the two.

The controls of the game are regarded as straightforward, and there's full support for controllers (8BitDo Ultimate 2 curr. $52.99 on Amazon). As for the visuals, the retro graphics complement the overall 2D theme well, but some players noted that in the latter stages, there are too many environmental elements, making the screen feel cluttered.
