3G? Oh dear, oh dear! Cubot wants to prove that outdoor smartphones can be even cheaper and launches the King Kong CS, a phone for less than 80 Euros (~$80) that barely has any memory, an outdated SoC without 4G capability, and a weak camera. But it is water- and dust-proof according to IP68...

Modern retro. Gigaset's GS4 is another smartphone manufactured in Germany that is positioned in the mid-range but still features wireless charging. The strong battery should enable long runtimes and a triple camera is also offered. The GS4 does many things right, but it also reveals shortcomings in the test.
