Kaby Lake-G workstation. As if Kaby Lake-G wasn't niche enough already, Dell has gone the extra mile by offering a workstation convertible equipped with the rare Intel-AMD CPU. The end result is one of the most powerful 15-inch convertible workstations available even if it sacrifices some common connectivity features along the way.

Business or Multimedia? Lenovo expands it ThinkPad X1-series with a 15.6-inch laptop and competes directly with the popular Dell XPS 15 as well as the Apple MacBook Pro 15. The new flagship is equipped with a high-resolution HDR screen as well as a discreet Nvidia GPU. But is this still a business laptop or rather a full-fledged multimedia device with some business features for consumers?

Complete redesign. Hewlett-Packard's Elite x2 1013 G3 is a 13-inch 2-in-1 equipped with a powerful quad-core CPU, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a 3:2 3k display, an active stylus, and a keyboard dock.

More performance – but also better? We already reviewed the base model of the current Dell XPS 15 9570 and now check the more expensive SKU with a faster Core i7 CPU as well as the high-resolution 4K UHD touchscreen. How does the slim chassis handle the additional performance and what is the effect on the battery runtime?

Cut corners. How much is a 144 Hz display worth? The Pavilion Gaming 15t is HP's latest entry in the budget gaming laptop market, designed to compete with the likes of Acer's Helio 300 and Dell's G7. While most areas of the notebook are good (including its high refresh rate screen), HP cut a few corners in their pursuit of the best budget gaming notebook.

The better and cheaper X1. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G6 has joined its WQHD HDR and Core i7 equipped sibling in our offices for review. The G6 is the entry-level model of current touchscreen-equipped Carbon X1 devices. The G6 is free from the thermal issues from which its sibling suffered thanks to its less powerful CPU, but this comes at a cost to the WQHD HDR display. Despite this drawback, the G6 provides a more rounded overall experience than its more expensive sibling.

Refinement. The Precision 5530 is, in many ways, what the Precision 5520 should have been. While the updated machine still struggles with thermal throttling, CPU stability and performance are improved. The GPU has also been upgraded without much sacrifice to heat output. The overall experience is much better.

Quiet Giant. The Omen 17t is a well-balanced notebook. Its internals are consistently powerful, its 144 Hz G-Sync display is one of the best on the market, and it manages heat and noise with aplomb. With its competitive pricing, the Omen 17t is one of the best overall packages in the gaming laptop market.

More power. Equipped with a 45 W Coffee Lake-H CPU and dedicated graphics, the Latitude 5591 is a more potent version of Dell's 15.6-inch mid-range Latitude 5590. The performance is up significantly, but surface temperature and noise level have increased as well.

New name, same value. Dell's latest entry into the budget gaming market changes branding but keeps the value. Does the new G7 offer as much bang-for-the-buck as the uber-popular Inspiron 15 7577? Find out in our comprehensive review.

Hexa-core for business. Dell's mid-range Latitude 5000 series gets the Coffee Lake-H treatment and dedicated graphics as well. The new 14-inch model with 45 W processor and GeForce graphics outperforms the sibling with ULV processor, but the additional power draw creates more heat and shortens battery life. The display remains less than impressive.

2-in-1 all-rounder. With the Yoga 730-15IKB, Lenovo delivers a 15.6-inch convertible that is suitable for gaming and for consuming media content. The device scores some major points with its slick metal case, backlit keyboard and a Thunderbolt 3 port. The touchscreen can be operated with the fingers and also with the included stylus. Update: FHD model with a better price-performance ratio.

Model update. Toshiba's slim 14-inch Tecra X40-E scores with a fast NVMe SSD, a slim exterior, an LTE modem, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. In addition, there is a good battery life.

Display Docking Station. 2x DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, LAN, USB-A ports and 87 watts of power for your laptop - these are the specs for this little docking station. Pushed to the limit. The P52s is back, this time with an improved screen and a slight bump in processing power. Is the 4K display an improvement for the P52s, or is the display too much for the weak GPU?

Hard to beat. Not everyone needs an i7, dedicated GPU, and WQHD display. Even without those assets, the T480s is still a dependable office companion whose formidable performance exceeds that of many competitors.
