Droolworthy snake. The Razer Blade 16 Early 2023 is a new offering for gamers interested in a flagship 16:10 16-inch gaming laptop. Featuring a desktop-class Intel Raptor Lake-HX Core i9-13950HX, a 175 W Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, and the world's first dual-mode mini-LED display, the Blade 16 seeks to take on some of the most powerful juggernauts this year. We explore Razer's ambitions with the Blade 16 and see whether it is worth the additional US$700 over the Blade 16 RTX 4080.

The ROG. The new Asus M16 is available in three variants: With an RTX 4070, RTX 4080 or RTX 4090. We review the highest-end configuration. On top of that, its bright, 16:10, HDR, Mini-LED-backlit display is also new. We take a look to see if the $4,000 ROG M16 is just as impressive in real life as it is on paper.

High-end features, low price. The very affordable, mechanical Redragon K565 Rudra RGB keyboard convinces in our test with key-programmable RGB, its stable metal base, and hot-swappable, Cherry MX-like Red switches for fast as well as accurate typing. We also test Redragon's Ranger Basic M910-K, a lightweight and compact gaming mouse with nine programmable buttons, high-end RGB, 1,000 Hz and 8,000 DPI.

Sweetspot found: The ROG Strix G16 is the third Strix we've reviewed in a still-ripening 2023. Based on recent experience, the choice to downsize to a 16-inch model is a good one. We see that the 4080 fits perfectly between the RTX 4090 and RTX 4070. In the ROG Strix G16, the GeForce graphics card is finally able to show off its capabilities.

Ravenous hardware. The ROG Strix G17 with the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX and RTX 4070 is well equipped for current and future games with similarly current and powerful hardware. Together with RGB illumination all around and a 240-Hertz IPS display, it leaves hardly any gaming desires unfulfilled. On the other hand, our test reveals not only some expected weaknesses.

AMD Radeon 680M impresses yet again. Inspired by the Sony Playstation Vita and Nintendo Switch, the GPD Win 4 is a significant improvement over the Win 3 in form, function, and especially performance. It essentially carries the power of a modern Intel EVO Ultrabook in a handheld smaller than the Steam Deck.

Debut for the AMD Zen4 Ryzen 9 7945HX. Asus refreshes its ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and uses the best components you can currently get. The new GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop is supported by AMD’s Ryzen 9 7945HX, the fastest mobile CPU right now. The manufacturer also replaces the 4K screen with a new WQHD Mini-LED panel with 240 Hz, which is supported by a secondary 4K screen. Update: sRGB profile is included
