The following article will discuss season 1 as it relates to the second season. For readers who haven't had a chance to watch this amazing show, (by my own personal admission) and you're planning to watch, beware spoilers ahead.
After two whole years, we finally get to see another episode of the thrilling and intense The Last of Us adaptation. It will air on Sunday, April 13th, 9 P.M. ET/PT on HBO and available to stream on Max, HBO's streaming service. "Every path has a price;" the new season's tagline, really highlights the intensity of the humanity-altering decision Joel made last season: Saving Ellie's life and preventing the only known cure being developed as a result. The season takes place 5 years after the events of season 1's ending, with press releases giving the following as season 2's logline:
Five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
There are clearly a lot of stakes behind this latest season, and I personally cannot wait to watch (And write about!) each episode as it airs Sunday nights. For those who haven't watched the official trailer, it's linked below. The season will be slightly shorter than the last; spanning seven episodes.
