Teased over the weekend, the POCO F2 is the Pocophone that people have been waiting for. Likely to feature a Snapdragon 865 and 5G connectivity, POCO India has hinted that the device will include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, fast-charging and a large battery, too.

The Motorola Razr is set to arrive in India on April 2nd. The phone maker's 2005-ain't-dead clamshell foldable will sell on Flipkart for Rs. 124,000 (US$1672).

Huawei is already working on its next-gen flagship SoC. The chipset, expected to be the Kirin 1020, will power Huawei's next generation of premium phones, starting with the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro. It's apparently scheduled to enter mass production in August.

Some extraordinary Geekbench results for a supposed Apple A14 SoC have been posted on the Weibo social network. The apparent mixture of Geekbench 4 and 5 information reveals that the chip was clocked at 3,090 MHz and features 6 cores. The hexa-core processor amassed huge test scores: 1,658 points for the single-core benchmark and 4,612 points for the multi-core test.

Death, taxes, and Exynos flagship SoCs lagging behind the competition. Most of the world only has the option of the Exynos 990-powered Samsung Galaxy S20 model and they're unlikely to be thrilled by new information that shows the Exynos 990 failing to catch up to the Snapdragon 865 in both performance and efficiency.

Xiaomi Malaysia has released teasers for the new Redmi Note 9S soon. It appears to have the same square quad-camera module as the rest of its series. However, the OEM has not released any details on its specs.

The Redmi K30 Pro is a hotly-anticipated device, yet remains conspicuous by its absence. An eminent leaker has just claimed that it will be one of the cheapest flagship-grade phones of 2020 - if not the cheapest. Realme 6 handsets are receiving an OTA update that adds a Night Mode and 120 fps slow motion video recording to the phone's 16 MP front camera. The update also brings the March 5 Android security patch and the Soloop video editing app.

The Nokia 7.2 was originally promised to get the Android 10 update in Q1 2020. We're at the end of Q1, however, and that plan appears to have been scrapped with official confirmation that the phone will receive the update in Q2 instead.

Xiaomi's Android 10 rollout slowly continues. After sending out the Android 10-based MIUI 11 update to the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, and Mi 8 Lite, the Chinese company is now providing the stable global update to the Mi 8 Pro.

Xiaomi has recently been highlighting the sales record of its Redmi Note devices on the company’s Twitter account. According to estimates provided by Canalys, the Chinese manufacturer has been successful in selling over 110 million Redmi Note smartphones around the world. The Redmi Note series was launched in 2014.

The upcoming Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL may not be flagship phones, if a recent teardown of a pre-release version of the Google Camera app for the Pixel 4a is any indication. The Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G and could be the beginning of Google's new strategy to focus on bringing more premium features to the upper-midrange segment rather than deploying the fastest SoC available.

Microsoft has announced that those with Samsung Galaxy S20-series devices can also now use their Windows 10 PCs for rich communication services- (RCS) enabled messaging. This feature is apparently available in the latest Insider's Preview Build and to the public in general. The same Preview includes further new Your Phone features.

Motorola is currently thought to have a smartphone called the Edge planned for release this year. It has been rumored to rock a waterfall-type display. XDA contributors claim to have live images that show this is in fact the case.

A new leak alleges that OnePlus will reveal its early-2020 flagship phones in about a month from today (March 14, 2020). An avid follower of this OEM's rumors might have noticed that 1 putative variant has been left out of this headline. Another tipster now believes it will get its own launch date for later on in the year.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A11 to little fanfare. This triple-camera device matches well with its recent leaks, having a 6.4-inch HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole for its 8MP selfie camera. It will succeed a phone that started at under US$200 in 2019.

OnePlus often releases Open Beta versions of its Android skin, OxygenOS. They are often updated compared to the "normal" (stable) builds in terms of features, security patches and other new tweaks. The OEM has started just such a program for its latest flagships, the 7T and 7T Pro.

A device called the Samsung SM-M11F/DSN has reportedly been approved by Thailand's national regulator, the NCC. This phone is most likely to be called the Galaxy M11 on its launch. Details of the Huawei P40 Pro Premium have now surfaced, painting the image of a phone with some of the most impressive hardware the world has ever seen.

Asurion has published the results of research that show US residents may have checked their phones as often as every 10 minutes in 2019. Furthermore, over 40% of the study's respondents admitted to taking their mobile devices out in public places, bathrooms included. Findings such as these may remind us all to disinfect our electronics more often.

Slated for release this month, the iPhone SE 2 has apparently been postponed. June or Fall 2020 are now rumoured as likely release windows, but supply chain sources are reporting an indefinite delay for Apple's next budget smartphone. While the iPhone 12 series is supposedly delayed too because of production issues, Apple's recent performance in China may be the cause of the company postponing the release of the iPhone SE 2.

Released in June 2017, the OnePlus 5 and 5T have already received two OS upgrades. However, the company committed to upgrading both devices to Android 10, which would be their third OS upgrade. Now, it seems that the final update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T will be arriving towards the end of Q2 2020.

Also sold as the Mi 8 Youth or the Mi 8X, the Mi 8 Lite has only received one OS upgrade so far. While there are already custom ROMs that can bring Android 10 to the device, Xiaomi has now posted an official Android 10 update for the device.

Phones that run neither Android nor iOS have been falling behind in terms of their browser and web-based support. The launch of the P40 series is under two weeks away and now rumours of some outrageous pricing are doing the rounds. Ranging between ~US$941 and a colossal ~US$13,858, yes that is not a typo, the P40 series is shaping up to be even pricier than the Galaxy S20 Ultra. If that was not enough, Huawei has teased that the P40 series may have up to three front-facing cameras.

Samsung has come in for plenty of criticism about its software update policies. With the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 unlikely to ever receive Android 10, it has now emerged that the company may be bringing One UI 2.1 to devices as far back as the Galaxy S9 and Note 9. While not strictly a third OS upgrade, it would be a volte-face for Samsung.

Both Samsung and the rumor mill seem to be working hard these days on populating the 2019 Galaxy A series with new generations. The latest of these is reportedly the A21. According to new Geekbench listings, it will be powered by a MediaTek SoC and 3GB of RAM.

Xiaomi finally launched its newest devices, the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, earlier today. The new Redmi mid-rangers start at an extremely affordable US$175 and offer incredible value for money as is the norm with the series.

The 20S is a mid-range variant of the Honor 20 smartphone series from 2019. Now, a promo for its successor has reportedly appeared on the labels of Sprite bottles sold in China. Some text found near its image hints at 5G for this new phone, too.

The 144Hz phone is here! Nubia's new addition to its mobile gaming line-up is its first 5G model, and has flagship specs as usual. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 865 SoC, a 16GB RAM variant and a spinning fan as expected. The new Red Magic can be pre-ordered from today, but only in China.

There will be no Android 10 for the Redmi Note 7 Pro this quarter, with Xiaomi issuing another Android 9.0 Pie-based update for the device. Likely remaining in beta for at least another month, Android 10 would be the first OS upgrade for the Redmi Note 7 Pro since its release over a year ago.

Realme has announced a European launch for its new 6 and 6 Pro. That's not all on this series of phones for today, however: a well-known leaker has posted a teaser for the upcoming 6i. This device will be the world's first to run on the MediaTek Helio G80 processor.

While Xiaomi has just released the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, the company has something even more potent up its sleeve. Confirmed to be arriving before the end of the month and after Huawei releases the P40 series, it would seem that a POCO F2 or POCO X2 Pro is on the cards, too.

Xiaomi is having a torrid time with Android One updates lately. The company has now pulled the second Android One OS upgrade in as many weeks, with the Mi A2 Lite the latest handset to receive a bug-ridden Android 10 build. The news should come as no surprise to Mi A2 Lite owners, as the initial update has reportedly bricked multiple handsets. We would advise against rolling back to Android 9.0 Pie, too.

Mozilla's GitHub now offers a version of Firefox for Android that is updated compared to the app available on the Google Play Store. Its most interesting attribute is an ability to add extensions to this mobile browser for the first time. There is only 1 add-on available at present, but the developer is confident there will be more soon.

Huawei will likely redefine smartphone camera standards with the P40 series on March 26 while continuing to push its mobile services (HMS) as a viable alternative to Google's. Current rumours point towards the Galaxy S20 Ultra challenger featuring two optical zoom cameras, along with two other new large sensors. We are on the verge of a "visionary photography" revolution too, apparently.

There is no escaping that the Galaxy S20 Ultra has a huge rear-facing camera housing. Stretching across a large portion of its rear glass, there has been talk of Samsung doing the same with the next Galaxy Note series. Others have imagined what the Galaxy Note 20 series could look like if Samsung returned to the cleaner camera design of the Note 8 or Galaxy S10 series.

Xiaomi is set to unveil the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro sometime this month. The Redmi Note 9 is expected to be powered by the new Helio G70, but there appears to be a slight issue with that: that SoC doesn't appear to be an upgrade over the already underwhelming Snapdragon 665 on last year's Redmi Note 8.

The GSMA has announced that OnePlus has been awarded one of the 25th annual Global Mobile Awards in the Best Smartphone category. It has been conferred on the OEM's most recent flagship, the 7T Pro. It combines a 90Hz QHD+ display with a pop-up selfie camera and the Snapdragon 855+ processor.

The Galaxy A31 may be one of Samsung's next budget smartphones. A device with its probable model number has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This leak does not confirm any specs, but does at least indicate it may be launched in the US soon.

Noted leaker Evan Blass posted possible billboard ads for the Google Pixel 4a, which is expected to launch later this year. The ads, if true, confirm many of the rumors surrounding the phone's design, including its hole-punch selfie camera and square housing for the rear-facing cameras. Perhaps most importantly, the ads also confirm a killer price tag; the Pixel 4a will launch at $399.

We have already seen the Redmi Note 9 Pro appear on Geekbench resplendent with a Snapdragon 720G and 6 GB of RAM, with leakers seeking to confirm the specifications of the Redmi Note 8 Pro successor. In the meantime, a popular Vietnamese YouTuber has published photos of what appears to be the real deal. A photo of a Twilight Orange version is circulating online too, but we have our doubts.

OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau said that the company's upcoming launch will see the complete lineup supporting 5G. While the top-tier OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 variants are confirmed and will have 5G support, it is not yet clear whether the purported OnePlus 8 Lite variant would feature 5G given the higher costs of implementing the standard.

The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro may already be selling well in China, but the two devices are yet to receive a global release. Due to be launched on March 27, Xiaomi has now demonstrated the capabilities of the device's 108 MP camera, and the results are impressive.

The Vivo NEX 3S 5G is official with the Chinese smartphone maker launching its latest flagship via its website. As had been expected, Vivo has kept the updates to the device relatively minor although its internals have been upgraded to support the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 powering it.
