The ThinkPad workstation's features continue with a robust case, stable keyboard, security functions and remote maintenance. However, the device can't escape all criticism.

A heavy worker. No glamour, no pomp: Lenovo's small workstation concentrates on its system performance, which is considerable thanks to its AMD Radeon 780M GPU. Similar gaming performance to Apple M3 Pro. RDNA2 isn't necessarily bad for an entry-level Radeon GPU, but it's getting long in the tooth and difficult to recommend at such a high $1600+ price tag. The fast Ryzen 9 Pro Zen 4 CPU and 4K OLED touchscreen are otherwise highlights for the ThinkPad Z16 Gen 2 model.

Lightweight 64 GB RAM. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G11 is the first model of this line with up to 64 GB of RAM. To get this amount of RAM, users have to buy a version with the most powerful P28-CPU, the i7-1370P. Unfortunately, as our review shows, this CPU is ill-suited for this elegant business laptop.

AMD & IPS beats Intel & OLED. We've already reviewed the current ThinkPad T14s G4 with the Intel processor and high-resolution OLED panel, and now we have the AMD model with the Ryzen 7 7840U and low-power IPS display. In addition to significantly more performance, the good battery life is particularly impressive.

Debut for the RTX 2000 Ada. Lenovo no longer offers the ThinkPad X1 Extreme. Instead, the identically built ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 takes over the tasks as a powerful multimedia computer or mobile workstation from now on. We tested the new ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 with the professional Nvidia RTX 2000 GPU and the matte IPS panel with a refresh rate of 165 Hz.

Tame Raptor. With the ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 4, Lenovo has released the newest member of its traditional business convertible series. This new model has a retooled design with much improved battery life numbers, but a puny performance.

Affordable business laptop with a big screen. Lenovo expands its ThinkPad E-series lineup with a 16-inch version. The new ThinkPad E16 G1 uses a familiar AMD Ryzen processor in combination with a bright WQHD panel.

T raptor. The 2023 version of the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 uses Intel CPUs of the Raptor Lake series. With the new CPUs, the power usage seems to be lower compared to the predecessor, but apart from this, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 Intel does not seem like a big upgrade.
