Laptop shoppers who have put an eye on one of Lenovo's high-priced machines should definitely take a look at the Chinese company's official online store, but better deals can often be made elsewhere. Case in point, a pretty much maxed-out configuration of the ThinkPad P14s has now been put on sale on eBay.
To be more exact, Lenovo itself is now selling the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and a whopping 96GB DDR5 RAM for $1,549 including free shipping on eBay. Additionally, this 14-inch business laptop sports a 2TB SSD and a 120Hz IPS display with 3072 x 1920 pixels, over 400 nits of brightness and complete DCI-P3 color space coverage.
Moreover, the ThinkPad P14s comes with the Nvidia RTX 500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM. This GPU is not necessarily designed for gaming, but can come in handy when editing 4K video, for example. More importantly, the aforementioned sale price is the result of a significant 64% discount and undercuts the current asking price at Lenovo's regular online store by a pretty big margin.
Before ordering the 14-inch Lenovo laptop, please take a moment to check out our in-depth review of the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5. At the time of testing, we criticized the missing sRGB color profile for the 3K display and the pretty busy cooling fans.
On the other hand, the ThinkPad P14s offers decent performance, very good input devices as well as sturdy chassis and various connectivity options including Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1. All in all, more than $1,500 is still a lot of money for a notebook. But users who need a huge amount of memory, a good display and dedicated graphics card in a 14-inch form factor might want to consider this Lenovo deal.
