Bargain hunters usually shouldn't waste their time with Lenovo's latest laptops, especially when it comes to high-end notebooks from the business-focused ThinkPad lineup. The reason for that is pretty simple – the best deals can usually be made on discontinued last-gen machines, such as the ThinkPad X13 from 2023.
Specifically, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 with the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U and 16GB RAM is now on sale for just $649 plus shipping at CDW, which is the result of a big 54% in relation to the original list price of $1,399. This AMD-powered configuration is further equipped with a 512GB SSD and a 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled as well.
For more details on this compact 13-inch Lenovo laptop, please refer to our detailed review of a very similar version of the ThinkPad X13. There's a lot to like about this notebook, because aside from the thin and light chassis, it also features a decent matte screen, very good input devices and a mostly quiet cooling system. We also praised the GPU performance of the Ryzen 7 chipset, especially in comparison to the Intel-equipped SKU.
On the negative side, the ThinkPad X13's memory is soldered and not upgradable. It should also be noted that this particular model comes with the smaller 41Wh battery, which will not last nearly as long as the 54Wh battery that we tested. Overall, this Lenovo deal can still be a decent choice for buyers who are looking for a dependable and sturdy notebook that's easy to carry around and weighs under 2.8 lbs.
