iPhone power brick supplier to move into electric vehicle chargers made in India

Salcomp is an electronics manufacturer associated with the 5W power brick that once shipped with every new iPhone. Now, the company has announced that it is moving into alternative areas, including the supply of components for solar- and hydro-powered electricity generation, as well as chargers for electric cars. To that end, it will reportedly aim to double its India-based manufacturing workforce by 2026.
