Key specifications for the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G, Ryzen 5 PRO 5650G, and Ryzen 3 PRO 5350G desktop APUs have been shared online. Unsurprisingly, the Ryzen PRO 5000G chips should offer the same specs and performance as the regular Cezanne Zen 3 desktop APU counterparts, but with the added benefit of AMD’s PRO technologies for business.

An AMD Ryzen 7 5700G desktop APU, which has appeared in a live image, has been put through both CPU and GPU benchmark tests. While the CPU part delivered a single-thread test score that places the Ryzen 5000 Cezanne chip way beyond its Renoir counterpart Ryzen 7 4700G, the Vega 8 GPU part is something of a letdown.

A new leak has further confirmed that AMD Ryzen 7000 Raphael will indeed be based on the 5 nm Zen 4 architecture and will also include a Navi 2x iGPU making it the first mainstream AMD processor to offer integrated graphics. Apart from Raphael, the 6 nm Rembrandt Zen 3 mobile parts will also sport RDNA 2 onboard graphics.

A timely reminder has been shared of how the current global chip famine has affected processor prices, in this case specifically for the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. While retailers who have tried to stay close to MSRP are invariably out of stock, those with Ryzen 9 5950X CPUs to sell are mostly setting astronomical price tags for the Zen 3 powerhouse.

The PN51 models come with the same chassis from last year's PN50 models and only support the Zen 2 Lucienne Ryzen 5000U processors. Despite using the same Zen 2 cores as the Ryzen 4000U models, the Lucienne processors come with upgraded memory controllers and can be coupled with up to 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM plus up to 2 TB of storage. There also is support for up to 4x 4K monitors.

PassMark’s CPU Mark single-thread performance chart for desktop processors now features a few more new Intel Rocket Lake chips, which have offered up a mixed bag of results. While the Intel Core i9-11900K still reigns and the i9-11900KF has performed well, both AMD’s Ryzen 5000 and Apple’s M1 have remained steadfast.

Microsoft has not revealed the Surface Laptop 4 yet, but it has added AMD and Intel models to its Download Center. The Surface Laptop 4 is expected to launch as soon as next week with Intel Tiger Lake-U, custom AMD Ryzen Renoir APUs, and two display sizes.

An AMD Ryzen 7 Microsoft Surface Edition (MSE) listing has been spotted on UserBenchmark. We learned earlier that there was a Razer laptop with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 in the works. It has made its first appearance on the 3D Mark Time Spy database as the Razer PI411. This particular variant appears to have 16GB of RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

MSI has confirmed that it plans to increase the price of its graphics cards at a recent investor meeting. The company hasn't specified which GPUs will be subject to the price hike, but we can reasonably assume that the entirety of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 and AMD Radeon RX 6000 series will be affected.

Lenovo has introduced two laptops aimed at the education market — the 14e Gen 2 Chromebook and the 14w Gen 2 running Windows 10 for Education. Lenovo announced three new Chromebooks for the education market today. The Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 3 and 300e Chromebook Gen 3 both run on AMD's latest CPU for Chromebooks, while the 500e Chromebook Gen 3 is powered by a Jasper Lake Celeron N5100 or Pentium N6000 from Intel.

HP, today, introduced upgrades to its Envy x360 15 lineup. The 2021 HP Envy x360 now comes in AMD Ryzen 5000-U Lucienne and Intel 11th gen Core i5/Core i7 Tiger Lake offerings. The first sign of AMD's top-tier laptop GPU has appeared. Based on the leak, AMD has equipped the Radeon RX 6800M with its Navi 22 GPU, the same one used for the RX 6700 XT.

A UserBenchmark listing of an upcoming HP EliteDesk 805 G8 has surfaced. The listing indicates the mini PC running an AMD processor but only the OPN code is shown. It is likely that this OPN code refers to the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 5750G APU. The benchmark does not reveal any dGPU, which was offered optionally with the EliteDesk 805 G6 (GTX 1660 Ti).

AMD has reportedly become TSMC’s number one customer in regard to purchasing 7nm wafers. Apple was previously the main customer for this node but has now moved its focus mainly on to 5nm. By securing more of TSMC’s 7nm output, AMD might be able to tackle the shortage of Ryzen 5000 chips and ensure delivery for EPYC Milan orders.

Another paper launch this soon after the RX 6700 XT release? MSRP is expected around $350, but we are not sure if actual retail prices could be close to those figures. Navi 23 will supposedly launch under the RX 6500 moniker and should also come along with mobile versions.

AMD plans to release its answer to Nvidia DLSS across all major gaming platforms, yet launch details are still sketchy. FidelityFX Super Resolution could be launched this year on PC at least, but AMD admits it is still pondering on which technique would best suit all gaming platforms.

Linux kernel code has revealed some details about AMD’s Van Gogh Ryzen 5000 ULV mobile APU series. Apparently, the processors will offer support for 256-bit DDR5 memory, which is a step up from Renoir APUs. Unsurprisingly, the appearance of an AMD APU with greater potential graphics processing has led to renewed Microsoft handheld/Xbox portable console rumors.

AMD's cheapest RDNA 2 graphics card to date isn't entirely convincing in the first detailed tests. This is not due to the fact that the graphics card would not be good, but rather because Nvidia is represented in this price range with the GeForce RTX 3070.

AMD has now made its 2021 line of Ryzen PRO mobile processors official. The OEM claims they build on the considerable leap in productivity-focused performance made by their 4000-series predecessors. The Apple M1 processor has been placed at the top of PassMark’s latest single-thread performance chart for laptop chips, despite its average CPU Mark and single-thread rating having fallen slightly. This puts the hybrid M1 Apple Silicon, which is found in laptops and desktops, ahead of strong rivals such as the Ryzen 9 5900HX and Ryzen 9 5980HS.

Engineering samples of the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G and the Ryzen 7 5700G have been listed on eBay even though AMD hasn't hinted about the arrival of Cezanne desktop APUs yet. There are some shortcomings with these samples, but early benchmarks show decent leads over their corresponding Renoir parts and also the Intel Core i7-10700K.

The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card has been baring some serious fangs on the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark. In a case of Navi 22 XT vs. Navi 10 XT, the upcoming board scored up to +35% higher than the RX 5700 XT. The RX 6700 XT even managed to beat the Navi 10-based unit in a 4K vs. 1080p face-off.
