Lenovo accidentally listed the AMD RX 6500 XT as a discrete GPU option for its Legion T5 prebuilt gaming PCs. According to the Lenovo document, the RX 6500 XT will feature 4GB of GDDR6, in line with previous leaks.

Tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA uncovered a Lenovo document that seemingly confirms the existence of the 4GB RX 6500 XT graphics card. In a list of potential configurations for the Legion T5 Gaming prebuilt system, Lenovo incorporated the RX 6500 XT as an option, alongside currently-available cards like the RX 6800 XT. According to the listing, the RX 6500 XT will feature 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM, in line with other leaks.

According to other sources, the RX 6500 XT will have 1024 shader cores, 16 ray accelerators, and 112GB/s of memory bandwidth. This would mean it delivers performance that's roughly half of the RX 6600, or about on par with the Radeon R9 Fury, a 4GB that's very long in the tooth now.

In today's AAA gaming environment, that would make the RX 6500 XT a decent, but not great option for 1080p gaming. The RDNA2 card comes with ray accelerators, but at these performance levels, ray-tracing will likely take framerates well below the 30 FPS mark.

The Lenovo listing indicates that the RX 6500 XT is already in the hands of OEMs and an official launch is likely in the months to come.
