Lenovo hints at a laptop called the Legion Y900P and more in its latest Chinese-language CES 2022 teasers
Lenovo China has now started to release teasers for a Legion Y9000P, a laptop now thus confirmed to have a decently high-end 2.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Its new poster also yields additional details such as 3 millisecond (ms) response time, a max brightness of 500 nits, "X-Rite" technology for 100% sRGB gamut coverage, 10-bit color, Dolby Vision, and an official TÜV Rheinland anti-blue light certification.
As exciting as these specs may seem to some Legion fans, they do make it more and more possible that what we have here is a refresh of the 7 for a new market, as the Y9000K is to the 7i. A second 'schematic'-themed teaser reinforces this impression; accordingly, the Y9000P could complete its specs jigsaw with a 16-inch 16:9 form-factor, containing up to AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processing power.
Furthermore, it seems the Legion 5 or similar might get the same treatment, as Lenovo is now hinting at a 'new' Legion Y7000P as well. These laptops are now projected to debut in conjunction with the OEM's CES 2022 event in January 2022.
