Can the Core i7-1355U beat a Ryzen 5 7530? The ThinkPad L13 Yoga G4 comes with both Intel and AMD options. Intel offers better single-thread performance and Thunderbolt support as expected, but expect louder fans and shorter runtimes than the AMD alternative.

OLED-Convertible with Intel instead of AMD After our review of the HP Envy x360 15 2023 with AMD processor, we now also have the Intel version of the convertible as a test device. Apart from the processor, the devices are almost identical, so the Intel variant also has the OLED display and the high-quality chassis. More ports and noisier fans. Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Studio is a pretty unique product and the second generation gets much faster components as well as more ports, but the foldable display is identical. Sleek Sophistication. This year's Asus ROG Flow X13 improves on many aspects compared to its predecessors. The new Flow X13 GV302XV offers AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS and Nvidia RTX 4060 smarts in a petite 13.4-inch convertible form factor. The ROG Flow X13 doesn't have many competitors, and largely lives up to expectations in our tests. However, Asus's gaming convertible demands a premium and there are a few things to watch out for.

Affordable OLED convertible The HP Envy x360 15 from 2023 is the first convertible or laptop with IMAX Enhanced certification on the market. This means that the display and speakers meet the strict requirements of IMAX and DTS. In combination with the gorgeous OLED display and the fantatstic build quality, the convertible is a good all-rounder.

Tame Raptor. With the ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 4, Lenovo has released the newest member of its traditional business convertible series. This new model has a retooled design with much improved battery life numbers, but a puny performance.

The convertible laptop for bookworms. What if you could have both a convertible laptop and an eReader all in one? The ThinkBook Plus Twist is a dream come true for bookworms as long as you can accept some caveats.

Intel 13th gen CPU swap. The IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 looks very attractive at first glance with its low US$574 starting price and Thunderbolt support, but the fixed 8 GB of RAM is a huge asterisk and the price to upgrade is absurdly high for what is supposed to be a budget 2-in-1.

14-inch AMD convertible for US$550. The Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1 retails for half the price of many popular alternatives with 360-degree hinges. There are cut corners along the way, of course, but casual home users or students likely won't mind many of the missing features.

AMD transformation-artist. ThinkPad Yoga is the name of Lenovo's business convertibles. The ThinkPad L series is the affordable enterprise series, which means the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga G4 AMD is a budget hybrid. With AMD Ryzen 7030U and a new design, this convertible can compete with more expensive models.

Large and inexpensive 16-inch convertible. The 2023 Inspiron 16 2-in-1 comes in two versions: Inspiron 16 7630 with Intel and Inspiron 16 7635 with AMD. The latter is cheaper, but it entails a longer list of cut corners that users should be aware of when compared to the Intel version.

Windows 11 + Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3. Like it or not, Windows ARM is here to stay regardless of all the criticisms. The Robo & Kala TW220 directly targets the Microsoft Surface Pro 9 ARM by offering OLED instead of IPS and a much lower starting price of just US$599

XPS-inspired keyboard and clickpad. The Latitude 9440 2-in-1 represents the biggest and perhaps riskiest change in the Latitude 9000 series to date. Some of the design choices are definitely nice to see from a visual perspective, but others can feel like a step backwards.
