Asus teases dual-display laptop similar to Lenovo Yoga Book 9i ahead of CES 2024 launch

Asus was one of the first manufacturers to launch a dual-display laptop in 2019, but the concept had some flaws. For example, the height of the second display of the last laptop we tested in the form of the Zenbook Pro Duo 2023 was only half as high, and the ergonomics left something to be desired for some users due to the keyboard with the trackpad being permanently integrated on the front on the right-hand side.

However, it looks like Asus will soon be introducing a whole new generation of its dual-display laptops. At least that's what a recent teaser from Asus on X (formerly Twitter, see below) suggests, which promises a notebook with two "full-size" OLED displays and a corresponding full-size keyboard. The Asus laptop still disappears into the dark in the teaser, but as soon as you lighten the image (see above), it becomes clear that the Zenbook makers are apparently developing a genuine competitor for the Yoga Book 9i from Lenovo up their sleeve.

Asus has not yet officially revealed any details apart from the features announced in the tweet, and the name of the new Zenbook, which will be launched at CES 2024, has not yet been revealed either. We can probably assume that we are dealing with a device from the Zenbook Duo series, which, like the Yogabook, comes with a detachable keyboard and can be used in many different ways, including in desktop mode with a dual monitor.

The reference to the "Dual-AI Experiences" could also be a reference to a laptop equipped with Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake - those models are generally marketed as AI PCs. The Asus CES 2024 launch event will take place on January 9, 2024, at 6 p.m. our time and will be broadcast live from Las Vegas. Lenovo is also expected to announce a new generation of the Yoga Book 9i at the upcoming tech trade fair, as a leak before Christmas suggests.
