Lenovo Yoga Book 9i: New 9th gen model of the innovative dual-display laptop leaked
We saw it for the first time at CES 2023: The Yoga Book 9i 8th Gen, which, with its two displays instead of a classic laptop combo with a keyboard at the bottom, provided an innovative approach for a more ergonomic working environment in mobile multi-monitor mode. The package first delivered in summer 2023 with a dockable Bluetooth keyboard and pen was not quite perfect yet, as the author of these lines was able to report from his own experience (only available in German) but many people were quite happy with the not so cheap Yoga Book 9i, including some in our editorial team.
Now the successor to this dual-display notebook seems to be on the horizon, if you believe the usually very reliable leaker Evan Blass, who has posted the first render images of a 9th generation Yoga Book 9i on his X account (formerly Twitter) (see below). They are not very high in resolution yet and at first glance hardly show any visual innovations, so we assume that Lenovo has changed little in the design of their new model. The 2024 version of the Yoga Book 9i apparently has two OLED displays again that can be used in tablet, tent or laptop mode, just like a convertible.
Not (yet) visible here is the exciting desktop mode (see picture above with the current Yoga Book 9i 8th Gen) with stacked displays and keyboard docked at the bottom, which requires the keyboard cover as a holder. Based on the leaked images, we assume that Lenovo has internally upgraded the Yoga Book 9i 9th Gen with Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" processors, perhaps in the "H version" with Arc GPU, and hopefully also addressed the software problems of its predecessor. As of now, the launch date of the Yoga Book 9i Gen 9 is not known yet but an official presentation during CES 2024 would seem likely.
