The Gen 9 Lenovo Yoga 9i price has slid back to its lowest level ever which was first seen in July. The 2-in-1 laptop officially went on sale in the US in April 2024 with up to a Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 155H CPU and a 14-inch display at a price of $1,449.99. 

Thanks to a big $350 discount, you can now buy the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 9 for only $1,099.99 at Best Buy. 

Since the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 9 on sale equips an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and a 14-inch 1800p OLED display, the laptop is a really solid deal at the reduced price. This is also confirmed by our review of the same configuration in which the machine earned a rating of 91%.

While not perfect, the Gen 9 Lenovo Yoga 9i brings some noteworthy improvements over the Gen 8 model. For instance, the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 9’s 8-core Arc iGPU is up to 60% faster than the Iris Xe of the Gen 8 Yoga 9i, making the laptop powerful enough to play modern titles at 1080p albeit with reduced settings.

The CPU part of the Core Ultra 7 155H is no slouch either. The Lenovo Yoga 9i (14IMH9) proved to be a speedy performer in our testing with a Performance Rating of 82.2. In other words, the notebook won’t suffer any slowdowns even in demanding scenarios.

Similar to the graphics performance, the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 9 also brings better battery life. Our Wi-Fi websurfing test ran for 10 hours which is about two hours longer than the 2023 model.

Unfortunately, the laptop retains a few of its predecessor’s shortcomings like the slight Moire effect on the OLED panel. However, if you can overlook that, you will be greeted with a 1800p touch panel that boasts 100% DCI-P3, infinite contrast, 370 nits of average brightness, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The brightness shoots up to 500 nits in HDR.

Simply put, the 2024 Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 is a high-end convertible laptop that brings a nice balance of power and portability. At the discounted price, it is a worthy buy.
