Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16-IRP G8

The latest to join the Lenovo family is none other than the Lenovo Yoga Pro line-ups. In terms of its design, the device largely looks like a beefed-up version of the Lenovo Yoga 9i and it is not a bad thing though. The rounded edges definitely make for a device that has a smidgen of style rather than something solely functional. While the combination of materials used does not scream luxury with 50% post-consumer recycled plastic in the keyboard and 50% recycled aluminium, it is obviously up there in terms of feeling like a truly high-end machine, if falling short of stunning quite like the MacBook Pro (2023). It is worth noting that this model weighs a bit more and it is a bit thicker than its Apple rival, but the difference is not that huge though. While it is quite possible to lug this around in the backpack, the weight can certainly be felt. It is definitely something to ponder on before deciding on the options available out there.
Apart from the strong build overall, the keyboard is quite impressive too. The keys offer plenty of travel, which it should giving the thickness of the laptop, and some pleasingly crisp feedback. In addition, the trackpad was extremely responsive too, as well as being a decent size. As far as its display is concerned, this model has been equipped with a 16-inch display with Mini LED. Well, the display is everything the tech has to promise which includes an abundance of bright along with luxurious colour. It definitely caters for a luxury user experience while using the laptop. As for its processor, the 16 inch model comes in with either an Intel Core i7-13705H or an i9-13905H for its performance. Users can opt for the best available option depending on their individual preference or their geographical location. On the other hand, the choice of an RTX 4050, RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 graphics chip available on this device is separate by TDP with the 100W for the 16 inch model.
This laptop has been equipped with either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB RAM paired with either 512GB or 1TB SSD. While the overall performance of the device differ greatly across these configurations, at the high end, one can definitely expect creativity performance that keeps up well with a MacBook Pro and gaming performance which allows for high settings across AAA titles. Speaking of games, it is worth mentioning that the panel offers a 165Hz refresh rate that one would also expect high configurations to be able to top out on FPS-focused titles. However, the refresh rate is not the focus of this display though. It is the vivid colour and deep contrast with the Mini LED technology alongside plenty of details, courtesy of a 3.2K resolution. In a nutshell, it is definitely a great device to be used for both personal and professional level, especially gaming use.

88.4% Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 laptop review: Great mini-LED panel, but unnecessary cost-saving measures | Notebookcheck
Lenovo is aiming for the crown in the category of 16-inch multimedia laptops with its new Yoga Pro 9i 16. Its trump card is supposed to be the high-resolution and bright mini-LED panel. However, there are unusual weaknesses in the build quality and, in contrast to the 14-inch model, features such as Advanced Optimus are missing.

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9 RTX 4050

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is a powerful and stylish 16-inch laptop, offering a balance of portability and performance, making it suitable for both work and play. While it’s an expensive option, its impressive hardware, sleek design, and high-quality display make it a compelling choice for users who need top-tier performance. At 0.7 inches thick and weighing 4.41 pounds, the Yoga Pro 9i is relatively slim and light for its size, making it portable for a laptop of its calibre. Its solid aluminium chassis gives it a premium feel, and the slim bezels around the 16-inch display contribute to its modern look. One unique feature is the "reverse display notch" on the top bezel, which houses a 5MP webcam and microphones, adding a distinct touch to the design. The device feels sturdy, with minimal flex and a tight hinge that allows one-handed opening. On the connectivity front, it offers USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, and a power port, with additional security features like an electronic camera disable button. In addition, the Yoga Pro 9i boasts a comfortable keyboard with 1.5mm key travel and excellent tactility. Its key layout includes a full number pad and a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key, though some may find the split up/down arrow keys and the compact size of the number pad a bit challenging to use by feel. The spacious, high-precision trackpad is responsive, covered with Gorilla Glass, and easy to use for those who prefer not to rely on a mouse. As for its display, the 16-inch IPS LCD display delivers crisp visuals with a 3200x2000 resolution and supports a 165Hz refresh rate, though it defaults to 60Hz. While the miniLED variant offers brighter colours and better vibrancy, the LCD model still shines with sharpness and decent brightness at 400 nits. However, the screen can be reflective, which could be a drawback for outdoor use. It also supports multitouch, making it versatile for touch-based interactions.

Talking about its performance, The Yoga Pro 9i is powered by robust hardware, including an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, which allows it to handle demanding tasks, from productivity to casual gaming. It runs day-to-day applications smoothly, with plenty of RAM for multitasking and efficient app performance. Lenovo’s Vantage software also helps users manage the machine’s features and performance. In gaming or heavy graphical tasks, the RTX 4050 provides solid performance, though it’s not as powerful as higher-end GPUs. Despite this, it performs better than most integrated graphics found in mainstream laptops. As for its battery, the 84Wh battery provides acceptable but not outstanding battery life for a 16-inch laptop. In tests, it managed just under nine hours of continuous video playback, which is lower than most mainstream notebooks but better than many gaming laptops. The combination of a high-resolution screen and powerful hardware places a strain on the battery, but it’s adequate for typical use cases. In conclusion, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is a high-performance, visually appealing laptop that excels in various areas, including design, display, and power. However, its high price and average battery life may be a consideration for some users.

91.7% Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9 laptop review: 75 W GeForce RTX 4050 overperforms | Notebookcheck
Lenovo's flagship model and closest MacBook Pro 16 competitor packs a ton of power for the size even at the lower-end configuration. At well over $1500, however, it's also one of Lenovo's pricier Yoga laptops.
Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i review
Source: Tom's Guide English
Our Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i review unit is my favorite Lenovo laptop I've reviewed in a while because it has a charming combo of good performance, an attractive design and an eye-catching 16-inch OLED touchscreen. At roughly 5 pounds it's on the heavier side, so it might not be the best for someone who plans to lug their laptop to work or school every day, but for creators, professionals and PC game fans this is a pretty great laptop for under $2,000. If you don't mind macOS and are concerned about battery life you might be just as happy or happier with the 16-inch MacBook Pro, but that beefy machine starts at hundreds of dollars more than the Pro 9i and the price climbs from there. And while gaming on Mac is better than ever, I still think I'd prefer the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i because it runs a far wider variety of games—including all my favorite time-wasters I love to fire up after work is done.

Source: Ultrabook Review English
This Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 laptop is a pretty good choice if you’re looking for a 16-inch computer for daily use and with some more features for creators. It’s thin and light for what it is, quite powerful and well balanced in overall behavior, plus comes with a beautiful touch display and punchy speakers. At the same time, though, the market for such 16-inch laptops is highly competitive today.

92% Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i review: Close to perfection
Source: PC World English
The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is one of the best mainstream Windows laptops on the market right now. The performance is top notch, whether you’re juggling spreadsheets or getting a few frags in before bed. The battery life is passable; it might be nice to have a bit more longevity, but I like the aggressive performance tuning. The build quality is also solid, with a full aluminum housing with no flex or rattle. I would have preferred a fully rotating screen, but the Yoga Pro 9i gets the traditional laptop form factor right. The screen is easy to open with one hand, and it stays where you leave it even if you move the machine around or pound on the keyboard. Speaking of the keyboard, Lenovo did a good job of making the keys feel spacious even with that full number pad.

90% Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 Gen 9 review: A near-perfect champ for creators
Source: Laptop Mag English
If you’re shopping for a laptop that can do a bit of everything, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is a great choice. It’s not cheap, but that’s because you’re getting premium features, like a 3.2K display, decent battery life, and strong performance. I’m not too happy about the lower-end GPU, but that’s what you get when you’re looking for a laptop to bring premium features in aspects outside of gaming. If you want better performance, configure the Yoga Pro 9i with an RTX 4060. Want more battery life? Go with the Spectre x360. Want more portability? Then the XPS 14 should be your choice. Obviously, if you need access to critical macOS creative tools, go with the MacBook Air. Overall, the Yoga Pro 9i is a solid entry in Lenovo’s portfolio of creator laptops, with just some improvements to the touchpad and speakers it would be a 5-star laptop.

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Laptop Review: Great Performance, Killer Display
Source: Hot Hardware English
Lenovo continues to refine its flagship laptop for creators and gamers alike, combining Intel's Core Ultra CPUs and NVIDIA's mid-tier GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU in a beautiful chassis. Not to be outdone is this machine's amazingly bright mini-LED touch-enabled display. It you can swing its price premium and tolerate less battery life, it's a worthwhile tick on Lenovo's options list. We're also glad to see this machine's excellent flexibility with a broader range of peripherals via the latest HDMI and USB-C connectors. As a whole, the Yoga Pro 9i is a smooth performer when running regular tasks without making nary a fuss or noise. And then there's its GeForce RTX 4060 GPU that really cranks the machine up, turning it into a legitimate editing and gaming rig for the next few years, at least.

The 2024 Yoga Pro 9I 16 Leads The Pack For Multi-Core Cpu Performance
Source: USA Today English
The 2024 Lenovo Pro 9i 16’s main attraction is its 16-core Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, which outperforms all other Windows laptops we’ve tested in multi-core performance benchmarks. The bright and crisp mini-LED screen, paired with the six-speaker Dolby Atmos-powered stereo sound, makes the Yoga an excellent choice for entertainment. A larger battery that reaches at least 10 hours of battery life (which we’d still consider average) would have been nice but also might have added to the Yoga’s already solid weight of 4.86 pounds. While the Yoga brand might include expectations for the hinge to fold back a full 360 degrees, the size and weight would make a tablet mode cumbersome. However, with a screen of this size and quality, a tent mode would have been a welcome feature for entertainment purposes.

80% Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 Gen 9 Review
Source: PC Mag English
We praised the MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo for selling a spiffy OLED screen for $1,450. The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is more expensive at $1,900 but combines a spiffy Mini LED display with a faster Core Ultra 9 CPU and Nvidia GeForce graphics, outpacing laptops that cost half again as much. We would appreciate the laptop even more if it weighed less and its arrow keys were in the proper inverted T instead of a row. Still, its screen, performance, and sound make the ninth Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 an easy Editors' Choice award winner.
