According to reports, Apple will be unable to release this year's MacBook Air with anything other than TSMC N5P-derived nodes. While the refreshed laptop could still feature Apple M2, actual next-generation Apple chipsets will not be ready until next year.

iOS 16 will enable always-on display but only on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

The upcoming iOS 16 update will finally enable always-on display (AOD) functionality, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. However, the AOD feature will only make it to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max as they are touted to sport LTPO displays that can potentially refresh as low as once per minute similar to the newer Apple Watch models.

Apple to bring LPDDR5 RAM to iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with A16 Bionic chip built around TSMC N5P node

According to a leaker, Apple will re-use TSMC's N5P node for the A16 Bionic, the chipset expected to debut in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Still, the A16 Bionic could feature a few performance improvements over the A15 Bionic, including LPDDR5 RAM support.

Rumor | iPhone 14 production is "weeks" behind schedule thanks to the resumption of lockdowns in China

New iPhones normally enter a "verification" stage in their production by July of the year in which they launch. However, 1 member of the rumored 14 series is now said to be severely behind in this scheme of things due to the latest March 2022 pandemic-averting restrictions in major Chinese manufacturing centers such as Shanghai. The situation is tipped to cost Apple big in terms of 2022 revenue.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro: High resolution renders show alleged final design in four colours

Jon Prosser has shared renders of the iPhone 14 Pro, one of four iPhone 14 series models alleged to be debuting this autumn. Reportedly showcasing the smartphone's final design, the iPhone 14 Pro is also expected to arrive in four colours and potentially even titanium sides.
