Apple will launch the iPhone 15 series shortly. Expected to debut in September, all four iPhone 15 series models will feature the Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro duo as well as USB-C ports. The Pro models, in particular, are expected to feature a new titanium chassis and other improvements which, apparently may come at a cost.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is mulling over a decision to launch the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with heavier price tags than their predecessors. While the source report says nothing about how much the price hike would be, it'd be surprising if it were anything more than a US$100 increase, which would see the iPhone 15 Pro cost US$1,099, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max US$1,199. For some perspective, that would ensure pricing parity between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra.
In any case, this isn't the first time the rumor mill has come up with claims of a price hike for the iPhone 15 lineup, with one such rumor surfacing as far back as January. That said, though, similar rumors have been reported right about every year since the iPhone X, and this may well turn out to be another such case.
